Marine National park

This wonderful national park is spread over 21 islands. It is located in the Tiruneveli and Ramanathapuram district. This small park is around 6.25 sq km and if you want to reach the place Tuticorin railways station will be the nearest and Madurai is the nearest airport. Best season to visit marine national park is monsoon time. Visit the park during the months of October and March to enjoy different kinds of birds, squirrels, sea turtles, dolphins etc.

Anamalai wildlife sanctuary or Indira Gandhi National Park

This famous national park and wildlife sanctuary is located at Coimbatore district and spread over the area of 118 sq km. This huge national park is full with tropical deciduous, semi evergreen and evergreen trees like teak, rosewood and many others. You can visit the wild animals like elephants, tigers, lion tailed macaque, leopard, sloth bear, nilgiri languor, gaur, crocodile, python etc in the park. You can observe different types of animals on the road side while moving in your vehicle. October to May is the suitable time to visit the park to enjoy the beauty of the nature.

Madhumalai National park

This beautiful national park is located in the Nilgiri district and spread over the large area of 230 sq km. The park is near to the Gudalur town and the nearest railway station to reach the park is Octacmand which is just 64 km away. If you want to reach by airway then, Coimbatore is the nearest airport at 160 km distance. The park is mainly famous for wonderful hill forests full of tropical moist deciduous trees. Madhumalai is famous for elephants, nilgiri langur and lion tailed macaque. Here you can find thick forests of useful trees like Teak and Eucalyptus.

Point Calimere Sanctuary

This wildlife sanctuary is the best option for those who love adventure and wild life discovery. Covering the area of nearly 17.27 sq. km this sanctuary is bounded by the ocean and the coast. This most attractive place is located in the Nagapattinam district in Tamilnadu. The main animals you can see here are tigers, panthers, sloth bear, wild dogs, gaur, mouse deer and elephants. Along with the animals you can enjoy a great variety of birds in the sanctuary. The common and rare birds like black woodpecker, Malabar gray hornbill, barber, owl, hawk eagle, parakeet and green pigeon are found here. A huge number of bird watchers visit this sanctuary to enjoy these bird varieties.
