In the first time of Tamil Nadu district administration, Mr.J.Kumaragurubaran, The District Collector of Namakkal District welcomes and receives the Grievances and petitions through Facebook. He told to the media persons that the people of Namakkal those who are having account can place their petitions and Grievances through the Facebook to the official home page of the District Collector on the Facebook. Further, He told that the District Collector or the officials in his office will collect the petitions from the account and the necessary action will be taken on the petitions immediately.

We hope that this innovative step will be very useful to the Facebook holders of the District to put their petitions instead of writing the petitions in paper and post the same. The Collector told that he got the first petition from a lady regarding the poor maintenance of School Buses in the district. The people can also post pictures and photos about the various places having poor road conditions and others regarding the improvement of the district activities. The People can get the Facebook account of the District collector by searching in the Google or by the name of "Namakkal District Collector" on search space in the Facebook. This new innovative idea of the Namakkal District Collector got good response from the public and many people are posting their petitions through the Facebook today.
