TNEA 2012

TamilNadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA) provides admission to scholars graduated from their Higher secondary education, in Anna University and to various engineering colleges under Anna University, Government colleges, Government-Aided and Autonomous colleges through single window admission and counselling. For this process the issuing of application forms for counselling was started in May 11,2012 and ended up in 31.05.2012.

Random Number and Rank List

After the processing of application forms, approved forms are taken up and the Random Number were provided to the corresponding students and published on June 25,2012.

Further, after random number, Rank List was published on June 30,2012 based on the cut-off marks of the students. For students having same cut-off marks the ranks are provided based on Date of Birth and Random Number.

How To Calculate Cut-Off Marks

It is easy to calculate cut-off marks by following the below mentioned method:

For Professional Group Students(Bio-maths and C.Sc
Cut-Off = (Maths Mark)/2 + (Physics Mark+Chemistry Mark)/4.

For Vocational Group Students(IV Group)
Cut-Off = (Major 1+ Major 2+ Major 3)/3

July 7 to July 11 - Vocational candidates counsellin Phase -1
July 12 - Counselling for Differently - abled
July 13 to August 18 - Academic General Counselling
July 22 -B.Arch counselling
August 19 - August 20 - Vocational Counselling Phase 2
