Anna University Chennai is inviting applications Admissions to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan degree programmes by Tamilnadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2012. Selected candidates will get admitted in the University Departments / University Colleges, Government,Government Aided Engineering Colleges, and Self Financing Engineering Collegesin Tamil Nadu.

TANCA 2012 counselling

Please note that at the time of counselling candidates have to pay Rs.5300/- (Rs.1150/- for SC / SCA / ST) in the form of DD or Cash.

If you are paying by DD, it should be drawn in favour of "The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University" payable at Chennai.

Once the seat is allotted, College / Branch once allotted will not be changed under any circumstances.

TANCA 2012 eligibility criteria

Candidate who want to apply for TANCA 2012 should have cleared all subjects in his Bachelor's degree or equivalent

He/She should have obtained atleast 50 % ( 45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) of marks degree examination.

Candidate is eligible only if he has a valid TANCET 2012 score or with valid GATE 2012 score.

For assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers, candidate should have valid GATE 2012 score along with TANCET 2012 score. Or else they will not be considered for admission to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. degree programmes.

Please note that candidates obtained degree without studying 10th and 12th std. or 3 years Diploma and through distance mode are not eligible for TANCA admisssions 2012.

For Sponsored Category candidats, they should have appeared for TANCET 2012 and scored minimum marks. If not they are not eligible. The merit list will be prepared based on TANCET 2012 marks

Please note that following docements whould be elclosed along with TANCA 2012 application form without fail.

Filled coding sheet (Original)
Attested photocopies of the following
10th class Mark Sheet
+2 Mark Sheet or Diploma (3 years) Certificate
Degree certificate, provisional certificate and grade sheet of all semesters
TC from the institution last studied
GATE 2012 score card
For XE life sciences, GATE 2012 score card and TANCET 2012 hall ticket
TANCET 2012 hall ticket for Non-GATE category and for Sponsored full-time
Acknowledgement card
Self addressed and stamped envelope (` 8/-) for counselling call letter
Community Certificate' in card format in the case of BC, BC Muslim, MBC/ DNC & SC / SC (Arunthathiyars) / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu.
Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
