Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC)
The Government of India has formed State Public Service Commissions in each state of the country. In Tamil Nadu, it was started in the name of Madras Service Commission then it had been renamed as Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC). The main duty of TNPSC is to recruit the suitable candidates to various posts in Tamil Nadu governments by conducting various examinations. TNPSC plays an important role in the selection of public servants to various positions in the state government. The selection process has many steps and procedures like conducting test, Interview, Group discussions and etc. The entire process is being done in a confidential manner. TNPSC has also introduced many new technologies like online application process, online test and Results. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has an organization with a chairman and fourteen active members. These persons are appointed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
