CPCL 2012 fireman job details

Name of the Post – Firemen
Number of Vacancies – 4 (UR 3 vacancies and OBC -1)
Salary description - 5100 to 9500, during the training period about 10000 is provided as salary for the selected candidates.
Age Limit – Age Bar between 18 - 30 as on 31/07/2012 and there is an exception of 3 years for the OBC category people and that means the people of 33 years for OBC and 30 years of UR can apply the application for the job.

Educational qualification
The Qualification that is necessary to apply for this job is 10th standard pass with a basic knowledge in English where the person can write and speak English, moreover it is necessary that the person should have a minimum firemen training of 6 months to apply for the post and should have a certificate of the same.

Physical fitnessHeight – 165 cm, Weight- minimum 50 kg, Chest- 81 ordinarily and 86.5 when expanded, Eyesight- 6/6 must and no problems with the eyes is a must.

Job Experience – The candidate should have an experience of atleast 2 years in fields like Refinery/ Petrochemical/ Chemical/ Fertilizer/ Gas processing plant to apply for the job as on 31/07/12.

CPCL 2012 fireman process of selection

The candidates are shortlisted with the rounds as follows
The first round is physical fitness round
In this round the candidate should carry a bag for 63.5 kilo's and cross the 183 meter mark in 96 seconds, then he should be able to jump 2.7 meter long jump and should climb a three meter straight rope with the use of his hands and legs and climb down the same. Remember the candidate should pass in all three tests in the physical fitness test to get into the next round.

Secondly the written test: The second test is the written test where the candidate has to prove his mental ability

Thirdly personal interview round
This is the last round where the person will be interviewed by an officer who is an expert in the section. If he clears this round he is in.
Application fee – The amount of 200 should be paid for the application and it is free for SC/ST candidates. The amount should be deposited in the bank with the name Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited in the D.D format.
