Tamilnadu TET exam 2012

Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test conducted today (on 12 July 2012). This year more than 6 lakh 50 thousand teachers attended this TNTET exam. TNTET is conducted for teacher jobs in TN schools like Government and Government aided schools. This was proposed by Indian government on the year 2009. Only the candidates passed in this TNTET examination can get jobs in Tamilnadu government schools. Application for this TNTET was issued on March 22 and the examination was scheduled to conduct on June 4 but it was rescheduled to July 12.

Some of the application forms were rejected due to insufficient data and some mistakes. Such application forms were neglected and chance were given for those applicants. They were announced to submit their application form on May 25. So total number of students attended this exam after all process is calculated as 6,56,088. Among them 3556 candidates were physically challenged candidates.

Totally two examination were conducted per day. One is the 1st paper on morning and 2nd paper on afternoon. Totally 150 questions were present in each paper. Time allowed for writing this examination was 1 and half hour.

Some of the candidates told media that time is insufficient. They requested the TNTET board to extend some time. But TNTET neglected by saying that it is a way to filter.
