University of Madras Assistant Professors eligibility 2012
The candidate should have good academic record with at least 55% marks.
A candidate should have obtained a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University, under 10+ 2 + 3 system.
A relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates.
He/She should have done masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University
If not the candidate should have an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
After filling above qualifications, the candidate should clear National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
Please note that for master programmes, NET/SLET/SET is not required.
