Now dengue an epidemic from Tirunalveli District to Madurai
Past three weeks Tirunalveli district is witnessing dengue fever taking toll of several people and now it is spreading to Madurai also. The Tamil Nadu state has geared up its health machinery in war foot level and telling the people not to panic since the killer disease will be controlled soon.
"Comprehensive conservancy works will be undertaken in all areas of Tirunelveli district affected by dengue and specialists will be deputed from Chennai to Tirunelveli to treat those suffering from dengue," the Chief Minister said .She conducted a high rung committee with District collectors, District Medical officers and directed them to "eliminate dengue vector"
Dengue is a communicable disease that is being transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito, which is already being infected by any one type of four of its viruses.
Severe Dengue fever , incapacitative of body movement
The infected person will show a symptom within three to 14 days of mosquito bite, which has already, has the dengue virus in its body. The easy victims are children and old aged people.
The moment the person becomes infected he/she becomes sick barely able to get out of bet getting emptied strength or incapacitated. More pitifully there seems to be no antiviral precautionary measures. The patient suffers mild fever to heavy, unbearable head ache, pain behind the eyes, and severe pain in the joints. The patients have to be immediately hospitalised and so that they do not run into dehydration.
