Tamil Nadu SSLC Class 10 Board Results and Samacheer Kalvi

Minister for School Education Sivapathy has announced that the 10th. Examination results will be published on Monday 4 June 2012. All the 10 lakh 84 thousand 575 students who wrote the examination last April across the Tamil Nadu are eagerly waiting to learn their test results. Nearly seven hundred boys outnumber the girls this year. We shall have to see who will win the race in large number whether it is boys or girls. It is needles to say that the students could face the examination in an adverse situation since large part of the time there was not electricity especially in semi-urban and rural areas ranging from eight to 10 hours every day.

The most important factor noteworthy is that this year all the systems of educations such as Matriculation,State Board,Anglo Indian Matriculation, and Oriental Schools all have been amalgamated under one system known as Samacheer Kalvi(Equitable System of Education) whereby there should be uniform system of syllabi, and Tamil and English being compulsory language for examination. The conceived initiative was that there should be no inequality or discrimination fo children learning "best for the rich not the best for poor" should be eliminated, and most private schools boasted themselves claiming they are the best and exploited commercially. History of Samacheer Kalvi has important since it did appoint commissions to study the viability of implementation. Samacheer Kalvi per se has its own worth and distinction, and also the draw backs. Nevertheless, after a judicial intervention the system has taken off now in the mainstream of educational system.
