Viswaroopam is one of the most awaited films of Kamal Hassan fans. This is an upcoming trilingual movie, i.e., the movie is going to be released in 3 languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Kamal haasan is the actor, director and producer of Vishwaroopam.This is a high budget film and the total budget of the film is estimated to be about Rs. 150 crore. Apoorva Sahodharargal, Devar Magan and Dasavathaaram are all Kamal's high budget movies and this movie also stands in this list. The films first shot is finished and it was shot in Chennai and Jordan. K.Balachander has directed the first shot of Viswaroopam movie.

Development of Kamal Hassan's tamil movie Viswaroopam

The development of the film started as soon as the release of Manmadhan Ambu. Selvaraghavan was to direct the film but the sources say that since Selva was busy with his brother Dhanush's film the direction was taken up from Selvaraghavan and Kamal Hassan himself has decided to direct. The film was shot in the beautiful locations of USA, Jordan and Canada. Some shots also were made in Mumbai and Chennai. There was a lot of confusion in choosing the lead female role. Many of the popular actresses were approached like Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Sameera Reddy and Anushka Shetty. But at last New York based model-actress Pooja Kumar was selected to play the role. Andrea plays the second female lead role in the film.

Story of the upcoming Kamal Hassan's tamil film Viswaroopam

Vishwaroopam is a Tamil spy thriller movie which will be definitely loved by the tamil audience. The story of the film is based on the English thriller movie Hannibal. Kamal plays the role of a Kathak dancer. One of the famous Kathak dancer Birju Maharaj has trained up Kamal Hassan. The biggest highlight of Vishwaroopam is the dance by 50 Kathak dancers for a musical track.

Initially Selvaraghavan selected Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music director but later when Kamal was supposed to direct he changed and decided for a musical trio by Shankar Mahadevan, Eshaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. There are five songs in the film and Vairamuthu will be the lyricist.

Viswaroopam Release date

The film is expected to be released by August 2012. The entire Viswaroopam crew have decided to complete the film as soon as possible so that it will be a part in 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
