    Meenakshi Amman Temple is located in Temple city of Madurai.Meenakshi Amman Temple is a Historic Temple is dedicated to Parvathi she is known as Meenakshi and her Cosort Shiva.Temple is located in Madurai city of Madurai District,this City is one of the 2500 years old.The Meenakshi Amman Temple is founded by(king of devas)Indra.

    The temple is one of the Largest Temple in Tamil Nadu,There are few Temples in tamil nadu but Meenakshi Temple is to have four entrances facing four directions.
    The Temple have a massive structue measuring 254 by 237 meters.

    This Temple is sourrended by 12 Gopurams The tallest from 12 gopurams is southern tower which is around to 52 meters.

    Meenakshi Shrine is fully built by the emerald-hued black stone,Meenakshi and Sundareswarar shrines are gold plated Vimanam.The golden Top have great distance.

    Festivals


    The important Festival is Meenakshi Thirukalyanam This Festival will be celebrated in april annually.And Chithirai Thiruvizha is also an important festival of This Shrine.
