Recently
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
has introduced a
free medical scheme
to the people of Tamil Nadu and this could be an excellent scheme where the poor people are going to be benefited. The Tamil Nadu government says that a total of 1.34 crores family will be benefited with this newly implemented medical scheme. Recently at secretariat Tamil Nadu chief minister inaugurated the medical schemes and currently 7 people have been provided with medical card and other 7 people selected was issued with a letter for undergoing their medical service.
The Tamil Nadu government has joined hands with
United India Insurance
in order to implement with the scheme and the government said a total of 750 crores will be required for the above service on the day of its inauguration Tamil Nadu chief minister handed over Rs 183.64crores cheque as first year medical fare to G. Srinivasan GM of United India Insurance. The previous former
DMK government
who introduced the medical scheme only offered medical services to 642 specified diseases and also the operation cost for a patient has not been included in the schemes. But the current government by taking this factor as an issue and benefit the public has decided to bear with all the cost from the date of admission at hospitals and after completion of their required operation has also decided to bear the diagnosis cost for additional next 5 days.

Advantages of newly implemented Medical Scheme in Tamilnadu
As per the terms of condition developed for this medical with Rs 1 lakh for one family per year and a total of Rs 4 lakh has been assigned for 4 years of service. More over for special treatment of service the public will also provided with Rs 1.25 lakhs. In this scheme right from newly born baby services along with a total of 1016 diagnosis care of service with addition of 113 continual care of service along with the diagnosis of 23 diseases has also been covered. More over the diagnosis Test and tenure amount for the service will also fall into this category. If there is no necessity of operation then the balance amount of cost will be issued. A total of 1.3 Lakhs family will be benefitted with the services.
The other News says that this scheme of service will be introduced in all districts of Tamil Nadu and there will be a total of 6 hospitals providing with the service in each districts. In few places like Chennai, Kovai and Madurai additional hospitals for the above services with a total of 150 hospitals all around Tamil Nadu are to introduced was the message conveyed to the press. The registered and approved hospitals providing the Tamil Nadu government Medical Services are also being instructed to conduct several Medical Camps and with the above Medical Camps it will be easy to diagnosis various diseases from the poor people and help them by providing the required services in a timely manner.
Comparisons between former and current government Free Medical Scheme in Tamilnadu
The former government Medical Scheme of service was carried through Star Health Insurance and the current government has shacked hands with United India Insurance for the specified service.
The former government assigned with a total amount of Rs 1 Lakh for 4 years for a family and the current government has revised it and gives a total amount of Rs 4 Lakhs for 4 years for a family.
The former government Medical Schemes covered only diagnosis cost of patients in their provided medical scheme but the current government provided with the flexibility of including the diagnosis cost into their scheme of service.
The former government did not bare with the additional cost after their treatment of service but the current government includes the additional cost of services after their treatment period as their scheme of services.
The former government did not bare the medical expenses after the treatment but the current government decided to bare with the medical expenses for next 5 days after their treatment of services.
