National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli NIT Trichy is inviting applications for the admission in Ph.D programme in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, Architecture, Management Studies, Computer Applications, Science & Humanities (Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English).
Eligibility criteria of Ph.D programme 2012 in NIT Trichy- Candidates should have atleast Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Engineering / Technology in the appropriate branches mentioned above.
- All the candidates should have minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5/10) in Undergradudate programme and Postgraduate programme for OC / OBC category
- 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 is the eligibility requirement for SC/ST candidates.
- For management studies admissions the candidates should have a valid valid NET/UGC/CAT/AIMA scores.
- For computer science admissions the candidates should have a valid GATE / NET/ UGC / CSIR / NBHM scores.
- Please note that that If the seats are not filled with a valid GATE / UGC / CSIR / NBHM / NET scores in Humanities and science departments, non GATE / UGC / CSIR / NBHM / NET candidates will also be considered for admission on non stipendary basis.
How to apply for Ph.D programme in NIT Trichy Tamilnadu 2012
- All the candidates who are applying for Ph.D. programme can download NIT Trichy Ph.D application form form net.
- Take a DD of Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities)in favour of "Director, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli- 620 015" payable at Tiruchirappalli and send it to the address mentioned below.

Eligibility criteria of MS programme 2012 in NIT Trichy
- All branches of engineering are eligible for doing MS in NIT Trichy.
- The candidates should have a 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA (for OC / OBC) in the B.E./B.Tech. degree and a valid GATE SCORE in the appropriate subject.
- But in case of SC/ST candidates the eligibility requirement is 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 and a valid GATE SCORE
