Bharathiar University Coimbatore State Eligibility Test (SET) is an examination conducted for Lectureship by Bharathiar University for selecting the candidates for the lecturer post in various colleges in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Bharathiar University is one of the reputed Universities in India which offers various courses for candidates. Bharathiar University State Eligibility Test (SET) is a highly competitive exam.

Structure of Bharathiar University Coimbatore State Eligibility Test (SET) for Lectureship

1. The candidates are selected based on the written test and an interview conducted by Bharathiar University. The candidates has to take up three papers.
2. In the first paper the candidates need to answer for 50 questions out of the 60 questions. Each correct answer will be awarded two marks.
3. The second paper consists of fifty questions. The marks awarded for the exam is 100.
4. The question format for the above two will be objective type with multiple choice questions and the timings is one and a half hours..
5. The third paper consists of 200 questions and the duration for the exam is two and a half hours. This paper consists of descriptive type questions and are asked from the specialized subjects of the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Tamilnadu SLET 2012 exam

• The candidates must have completed their Masters Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with 55% of marks.
• The candidates should apply for the lecture ship programme for the subjects they have done in their Post Graduation.
• The candidates who belong to SC, ST must have secured 50 % marks in their Post Graduation course.
• Final year post graduate candidates can also apply.
• No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing for the exam.
