    Importance of Tamil medicinal recipe Mooligai Rasam.


    In Tamil culture, the medicines are taken as delicious food, which not only keeps us healthy but also prevents from diseases. Whenever seasons change our body adjusts itself to get along with the season. In that process our body's immunity drops a little. At that time our body can be attacked easily by viruses and suffers from cold, cough, fever and so on.

    In winter seasons, cold, chest congestion, fever are very common among children and adults. This Tamil medicinal recipe Mooligai Rasam will prevent and cure as well, all winter diseases. It is simple to prepare. Tasty to eat. Only two Tamil Mooligai Kandan Thippili and Arisi Thippili are added to Rasam. Let's see how it is prepared.

    How to prepare Tamil Mooligai Rasam.


    First prepare the mooligai paste and add it to the Rasam preparation.

    Ingredients for Mooligai paste:
    Oil – 1tsp
    Kandan Thippili – 4-5 sticks
    Arisi Thippli - 5-6
    Urad dal or ulundhu – 1 tsp
    Red chilli or kaintha milagai - 1
    Cumin seed or jeera – 1 tsp
    Pepper or milagu - 2 tsp

    Fry these ingredients with low heat and smash it to paste and keep aside. Now prepare Rasam.

    Ingredients for Rasam:
    Toor dal or thuvaram paruppu – ¼ cup
    Tamarind – small lemon size
    Tomato – 1 small
    Mustard seeds or kadugu – 1 tsp
    Turmeric powder or manjal – ½ tsp
    Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
    Salt - for taste
    Curry leaves - 5
    Oil - 1tsp
    Coriander leaves – 4 branches

    Soak tamarind in a cup of water. First cook Toor dal and smash it to paste. In a pan put squeezed tomato, tamarind paste, turmeric, asafoetida, salt and cup of water and allow it to boil for 10 minutes. Then add the smashed toor dal and Mooligai paste and again a cup of water and allow it to boil for 5 minutes. Add the coriander leaves and immediately remove it from the gas stove.

    In another pan heat oil and add muster and cumin seeds. After they pop add it to the Mooligai Rasam. Now the Mooligai Rasam is ready. You can drink it or add to rice and eat. Prevent your self from winter diseases.
