This place is dedicated for their enjoyment. The festival is India wide very famous as the many impotents take part in this festival from many other states.

    The Koothandavar festival in Villupuram is one of the famous festival in India. The specialty of the festival is the festival is conducted only for the enjoyment of the Eunuchs (Impotent men or alli). On this festival the Eunuchs from all over india come and worship the lord Koothandavar. The festival takes place every year. On this festival occasion thousands of eunuchs come and celebrate. The festival is celebrated in Koovagam a small village in Villupuram. The festival usually takes place in the hot session i.e in the months of April and May. The place Koovagam is around 25 K.m away from Villupuram district.
    The main part of the festival lies on the marriage of the enuchs. The Aravanies marry Lord Koothandavar and celebrate that whole night with dance and songs. In the morning they mourn over the death of Koothandavar and cry aloud. During this time they break their bangles that they wore in the last night. During the night after the marriage there will be many jolly events among them like singing competition and many more other competitions. It would be a new experience to watch this kind of festivals.
    This is the only place for the Impotent men to be happy. This place is dedicated for their enjoyment. The festival is India wide very famous as the many impotents take part in this festival from many other states.
