The iPhone 4S is a touchscreen smartphone with latest technology developed and introduced by Apple Inc. It is the fifth generation of the iPhone technology introduced during the last month. It includes a device that combines a widescreen iPod with a touchscreen, mobile phone, and internet communicator. It also retains the exterior design of its predecessor, iPhone 4, but is host to a range of improved and equipped hardware specifications and latest new software updates compared to the previous model. The iPhone 4S is also integrated with new software and hardware changes that support the introduction of new user interface and functions by Apple.
The iPhone 4S has also introduced a new technology known as automated voice control system is also called as "Siri" that technology allows the user to give the iPhone commands, which it can execute and respond to. For example, iPhone commands such as "What is the weather going to be like?" will generate a response such as "The weather is to be cloudy and rainy and drop to 54 degrees today". These commands can vary greatly and control almost every section of the phone. The commands given do not have to be specific and can be used with natural language. Siri can be accessed by holding down the home button for an extra amount of time (compared to using the regular function).
The iPhone 4S was announced with Apple's iOS 5 operating system, which Apple claims as having 200 new features compared to the previous version. On the 4S, the Apple A5 processor and iOS 5 work together to support many subsystems of the device, such as data processing for the camera. Some major tasks performed include browsing the internet with Safari, voice assistance with Siri, cellular communications, media playback, and applications.
The Aircel and Airtel cellular services launched iPhone 4S technology in Tamil Nadu
The leading companies of cellular services namely Aircel and Airtel launches the iPhone 4S technology in Tamil Nadu on 25th November, 2011. The price would vary from Rs. 40,500.00 to Rs. 50,500.00 for the range of 16 GB to 64 GB technology.
Both the companies have started pre-order booking for the iPhone 4S.
Now pre orders for iphone 4S 16 GB and iphone 4S 32 GB are available. The phones are available for pre-order on the operators’ respective websites till November 24. As per the information given in the Airtel website, you have to pay the full cash at the time of pre booking and the hand set will be made available to you on the launch day.

With its celebrated optics - which are said to be at par with mid-range digital cameras - and integration with the new iCloud service, the iPhone 4S takes smartphones to a new level.
The 8MP camera has a larger aperture, a custom lens, advanced hybrid infrared filter and face detection feature. Through this camera, owners can record videos in 1080p HD and also use the front facing VGA FaceTime camera for video chatting.The 16GB iPhone 4S would be available in two colours- black and white.
