Tamilnadu Snack recipe - Vendakkai pakoda
Vendakkai pakoda is a very famous Tamilnadu snack recipe which was prepared in olden days as a tea time snack. This tastes well and is also a healthy one when compared to the ordinary Pakodas. Try this easy to make snack recipe in your home.
Ingredients for preparing Vendakkai Pakoda
Vendakkai or Lady finger 200 grams
Corn flour 1/2 cup
Gram flour 1 cup
Chili powder 1 table spoon
Coriander powder 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Oil for deep fry
Method for preparing Vendakkai pakoda
1.Cut the onions and cashews into fine pieces.
2.Cut the vendakkai into one inch lengths.
3.Mix the cut vendakkai, onions, cashews, salt, chili powder and coriander powder in such a way that it gets fully coated on vendakkai.
4.Now add the corn flour and Gram flour to the coated vendakkai, mix well and allow it to stand for 30 to 60 min.
5.Heat oil in a kadai and fry the vendakkai until they turn golden brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
