4. The candidate must get 60% marks in English and Maths for getting admission in B.Arch at the same time he or she must scored atleast 40% marks in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA)

The college has a huge library with enough space for the students which has the sitting capacity of more than 250 at a time. The library is modernized with the computerized system for library functioning. There is a Radio frequency identification also included for quick identification of the books where it has been stored. The library will be opened for the students from 8.30am to 4.30pm. It is fully air-conditioned and fitted with lot of CCTV cameras to over view the happenings in and around the library. The students of this college bagged many gold medals and other trophy in all sports events in the state level or the zonal level. Mineral water plant is setup for providing pure and mineral rich water to the students. There is a multi-gym facility provided for both the boys and girls to keep up their physical fitness. Two power generators also installed to make up the power cut during the summer season. Around 40 buses plying in between the Chennai city and the engineering college. There is a well furnished and modernized separate hostel for both boys and girls in the campus of SRM Engineering college near Chennai. Student has to pay the hostel fee of around Rs 61000/- per year including mess fee and other caution fee etc. There is two different types of accommodation available to the students one is attached bathrooms and another one is non-attached bathrooms provided with common lavatory.
