It is one of the most famous colleges in Tamilnadu that are situated near AVADI. I think that there are many students who are affording to get admitted in this college. This college is also known as Hindu college and offers a wide range of courses to the students. There are various courses like B Com, BBA, BSC, etc., that are conducted at this college. I think this is the best college in the locality where there are even other colleges like Jaya college, Vel- Tech etc.,

About DRBCCC Hindu College Avadi

The college was first formed in the year 1972 and the full name of the college is Dharmamurthi Rao Bahadur Calavala Cunnan Chetty's Hindu college. This is the name of the founder Dharmamurthi Rao Bahadur. The college is divided into two one is Day College and the other one is evening college. There are lot of other activities like sports activity, NCC, NSS, Rotract club etc., and there are various departments for various subjects in the college. It is the arts and science college which has good scope for the graduate students especially with the commerce background.

Day College is the particular section of education provided by the college where the college offers education at a very normal rates and this is directly related to the University of Madras. This section has only limited number of courses like B Com, B Com Corporate secretary ship, B.A Economics and B SC mathematics. This is the education which is provided to students who have performed well in the competitive exams and have secured more percentage of marks. The University provides scholarships to such students which would be even more than of the fee paid by the college.

DRBCCC Evening College

Evening college is something which is conducted by the management itself. Unlike Day College it would have more fee structure and the students need to pay more as the students derive education from the management staffs. But the staff are well versed in the evening college and I would prefer to join the evening college as the timings is from 12 30 to 5 30 pm and the student can also gain more knowledge in other activities like Simca which is held in the college to enhance the computer knowledge of the person, there are also various courses like networking, hardware and software maintenance given to the students at a lower cost that other computer education classes.

National Cadet Cops

National Cadet Cops are also there in the college where the student can get proper training on how to use the weapons, Drill education etc., which would be very useful to the students who are aspiring to get into the defense forces. The main motive of NCC is unity and Discipline and both the aspects are taken care in the college. The college also arranges various programs like Cycle expedition, various competitions that are held at other Tamilnadu colleges and various other camps that are operated at other states of our country. All the preliminary and precautionary steps are taken into consideration before a person is given proper training for the students.

National Social Service

This is yet another activity which is similar to the national cadet corps where the student is taken for camps at other colleges or hospitals or other places and there the person is made to give proper education, clean the environment and make awareness of a particular section of the people. It is the social measure taken for the welfare of the public at their areas itself. These sections create awareness programs and also involve themselves in the blood donations and enhance the need for blood donation among other people in the college too.

Rotract Club activities in DRBCCC Hindu College

This is the third thing which is also run by the college to maintain the standard of the students. Here the students are taken to the meetings and proper arrangements are made which would enhance the cultural benefits of our country and our society. This is the method is which would create awareness about the organization in the country and how to adapt to it. This is more than enjoyment than that of other courses like NCC and NSS.

Sports activities DRBCCC Hindu College

There are various sports activities that are carried out in the college like football, Cricket, Kho Kho, Basketball, Table tennis and athletics. The college offers many more sports that have low response but these are the sports that are played for the major extend. Here the college makes the note that all the students should participate in any of the above things in order to get his degree.

Other facilities offered in the colleges

The college offers various other facilities like Canteen Facilities, Library, Sports ground and temples, separate rooms for girls where they can rest for some time and can study without any disturbance. It is the only college which has a railway station to its name in whole of Tamilnadu. There are always buses that travel from this place to various other places and it is more beneficiary to the students.
