    NCRB reports among Tamilnadu Coimbatore ranks first in suicide cases

    The National Crime Records Bureau's surveyed India regarding suicides occurred in each district of India. It was shocking that Coimbatore stands fifth among India. This made Coimbatore to top suicide rate in Tamilnadu.

    Suicides in Tamilnadu


    Suicide rate is increasing rapidly. The National Crime Records Bureau's (NCRB) has made survey on Suicide rate in India. They reported that Coimbatore got largest suicide rate in Tamilnadu. Coimbatore ranks first in Tamilnadu and stands fifth in India. Theses calculation is not made by the number of suicides occurred. NCRB calculated by number of Suicide occurred with proportionate to the population. According to the suicide statistic 2002 a total of 326 deaths occurred among 14 lakh people. The people who committed suicide belongs to housewives, working in private organizations, self-employed persons, unemployed and Students.

    Causes of Suicide in Tamilnadu


    Popular Psychiatrists in Coimbatore denoted that the suicide occurs mainly due to the change in life style and stress that occurs on everyday life. People gets stress easily but they commit suicide if they cannot solve. They commit suicide to solve a temporary problem like inferiority complex, problems with affairs, stress in institution like schools, colleges and working place.

    Suicide prevention


    Some of the measure to prevent suicide include leading your life in positive attitude, counselling by means of physician, mass & media, attending interactive programs that improves the confident level. Human has ability to control every thing in world so they should learn how to control suicide thought.
