This diwali we have treated with three movies in Tamilnadu namely Velayutham, 7aam arivu and Ra one Tamil. Every one were confused which movie to choose and which is better. Read this article to know the best movie for this diwali.

Best movie in Diwali releases

This Diwali only three movies Velayutham, 7aam arivu and Ra one were released. These three movies got heavy expectation from the audience. 7aam Arivu didn't satisfied audience up to their expectation. Velayutham is as usual Vijay's masala movie like Thirupachi, Tirumalai and Sivakasi series. Ra one remembers the old terminator movie. Read below to know the reviews provided by various magazines and celebrities.

Velayutham movie review

Velayutham movie starred tamil actor Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani received mixed reviews. This is big treat to Vijay fans. But it doesn't admire all. It was know that this movie was a remake of Telugu movie Azad. Director M.Raja declined that it was not a remake. He added that he was inspired by the movie Azad and implemented a new screenplay in Velayutham. Director M.Raja is expert in screen play proved in his previous movies like Santhosh Subramanian, Jeyam, Thillalangadi.

Many magazines reviewed Velayutham as paisa vasool movie. Sify reviewed that this film is a perfect outing with family, but far too long in length. Rediff.com gave 2 and half stars out of 5 for the film and stated Velayudham doesn't take itself seriously and doesn't expect you to either. Indiaglitz reviewed this film as Vijay is the perfect weapon and it is a right choice for the festival mood. Behindwood popular movie portal provided 3 out of 5 stars. Nowrunning.com rated it 2.5/5 stars with a quote "Velayudham, part comedy part action sails through both streams smoothly until it is struck and sunk by crude melodrama”. Among the diwali release Velayutham seems to be the best but it is not so worthy than other releases of this year.

7aam Arivu review

7aam Arivu movie starred tamil actor Surya and Sruthi Hasan received average reviews from audience but surprisingly all major magazines denoted this movie as average movie. 7aam Arivu is different concept movie in Tamil cinema. Super Star actor Rajinikanth was impressed by Surya’s acting in this movie. He stated I loved Surya than this movie. This movie was quiet similar to Dasavatharam not so easy to understand. Murugadoss aim is to create awareness about Bodhidaramar and his skills who belongs to Tamilnadu was worshipped as a god in China. Unfortunately Murugadoss screenplay is poor when compared to blockbuster movie like Ghajini.

This movie got 3 stars out of 5 in all popular magazines. It was rated higher than the Vijay’s Velayutham. Behindwoods, Rediff.com, Now running gave 3 stars to this movie out of 5 stars. Celebrities enjoyed this movie in theaters and admired by Surya’s acting. This movie really disappointed those who expected more. It is not a poor movie but poor when compared to Ghajini.

Ra one Tamil review

Ra one movie is starred by Sharukh and Kareena Kapoor. This movie is like Tamil movie Endhiran with different script. The action in this movie were admired by children’s. Visual effects and stunts were perfect that is not available in other Indian films. Magazines reviewed this movie randomly. Some provided only 1.5 stars and some provided 4.5 stars. Visual lovers and children’s were the best audience for this movie. This movie collected 18.5 crore on the first day. Audience with more expectation will hate this movie. But this movie is good entertainer.

1. Velayutham
Velayutham best entertainer movie. Enjoy this movie with comedy scenes of Vijay for the first half and get thrilled by the action in second half.

2. Ra one Tamil
Bollywood superstar starred Sharukh's movie. Admire by the visual effects and actions in this movie. Enjoy superstar Rajinikanth special appearance as Chitti.

3. 7 aam Arivu
A purely historical story. Love the Surya's acting and the fight sequence in this movie. Makes you feel proud that you are Tamilan.
