The movie is released with around 1000 prints worldwide. It has become the 2nd largest dubbed movie in Andhra Pradesh after superstar Rajinikanth Robo. 7aum is a magnum opus from Red Giant Movies starring Tamil actor Surya and Shruti Haasan with AR Murugados directing the film. It is the highest big budget film of 84 crores in Surya career and I must say, it has reached the expectations!

Story of Surya 7 Aum Arivu

7 Aum Arivu opens in a grand style with a backdrop in 6th century. It will be like a small documentary on the great Tamil Pallava prince Bodhidharman. He travels from Kancheepuram to China for about 3 years and becomes well-respected saint and messiah there. With his vast knowledge of martial arts, hypnotism and medicine he establishes 'Zen' in the world. In the process he dies a natural death and cremated there.

After 1600 years new character Aravind (Suriya) introduced who is a happy-go-lucky circus artist works Grand Bombay Circus. He madly deeply falls love in with Shuba Srinivasan (Shruti Haasan) a genetic engineering student and scientist who is doing research on Bodhidharman. It is obvious that in any movie as the time goes on both become thick friends and the same thing happened here. As we move on Arivand comes to know about that he is a replica of Bodhidharman and knows about Subha`s ambition of bringing back Bodhidharman by inducing his DNA into Aravind. Chinese government sends Dong Lee (Johnny Tri Nguyen), a martial arts expert to Chennai to kill subha. He starts a bio war by spreading a dangerous disease fearing that her research on Bodhi Dharman would hinder all their plans.

Highlights in 7 Aum Arivu movie

Ravi K Chandran's cinematography and the SFX cammera work. It gives you a live experience of 14th century. He is one of the greatest strength in this movie. He shot beautifully and wonderfully which takes us back immediately to 500 A.D.

Surya dazzles the audience with his performance as circus artiste and Bodhi Dharman

The villanin Johnny Tri Nguyen is deadly. He is so natural and fantastic and can embrace your expectations.

The climax fight between Suriya and Johnny is terrific and is superbly choreographed by Peter Hayne.

Too many songs, they come without relevance to the subject.

Drawbacks in 7 Aum Arivu movie

Tamil accent of Sruthi Hassan

I always hope to see an pure action Indian film without a romance. I always want to show an example "See, this movie doesn't need her, this movie dosen't need bonding between actor and actress" and to my suprise 7aam Arivu would be a one of the best example.

7 Aum Arivu Verdict: 7aum Arivu is an enjoyable entertainer with a purpose. The Ghajini team has done it again.
