    C. Karuppasamy is Tamilnadu State Minister died at Apollo Hospital located at Anna Salai on 22nd October 2011. Reason for his death is published as cancer. It seems he has been suffering from cancer and hospitalized few months ago. Now his age is 54, he lived with his wife, daughter and a son. He belongs to a small village Puliampatti near Sankarankovil. C. Karuppasamy is a AIADMK minister elected in Sankarankovil constituency. He was a four time MLA in this constituency.

    He was elected as MLA in Sankarankovil constituency for the first time in the year 1996. He scored a big winning for AIADMK. He was constantly elected in this constituency for four years. This year 2011 he won the election by securing 72297 votes. He secured 50% of votes in this constituency. He served as portfolio of S/C and S/T welfare department in the year 2002.
