    Every Tamil month as some significance and a particular day is considered as auspicious day in each Tamil month. Want to know which day.     Tamil month Aippasi's importance and festivals of this month.


    Tamil month Aippasi is the seventh month in Tamil calendar. Aippasi month begins on 18 October and ends on November 16. Lord Siva and Lord Muruga are the deities given more importance in this month. All Friday's of this month are auspicious and celebrated as Aippasi velli. Very important festival for Tamils, Deepavali, falls on this month. Deepavali is an exciting and joyful festival for all ages. Diwali is considered as one of the most important Tamilnadu festivals.

    Annabhishekam on pournami in Tamil month Aippasi


    Annabhishekam is a popular festival celebrated in all Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu on Aippasi pournami. This month pournami or full moon falls on 10 October. In Shiva temples Shiva lingam will be covered with rice and decorated with vegetables and fruits. This is celebrated as thanks giving to lord Shiva for providing us Annam or Rice. This festival is celebrated in a grand manner in all Shiva temples. It is said that watching this Annabhishekam will free us from the birth cycle.

    Skanda Sashti Virdham in Tamil month Aippasi.


    The first week of Aippasi is meant for fasting dedicated to lord Muruga. The end day of fast is celebrated as Thirukkalyanam. Skanda Sashti Virdham is an important fast for Tamils. It starts on 27 October the next day of deepavali and ends on 31 October. It is said that Lord Muruga had fought against Soorabadman for six days and defeated him on sixth day or Sashti. That last day October 31 is celebrated as Soorasamharam. This festival is celebrated in a grand manner in all Murugar Temples.

    This month is ended with a celebration called Kadaimugam by bath in the river Cauvery on 16 November. Celebrate this Tamil month Aippasi with joyful Deepavali. Happy Deepavali and Aippasi month wishes.
