Now rajinikanth is the second top grossing actor only after Jackie Chan in the whole of Asia.

Life history of Rajinikanth
Rajinikanth was born in a Marathi family and his real name was Sivaji Rao and he was born on 12th December 1950. He married Latha Rangachari and has two daughters namely Aiswariya and Soundarya. The former was married to tamil actor Dhanush while the later is a director and designer. Rajinikanth is 61 now and he has earned a lot of popularity in the minds of the public and he is regarded as the lone super for the Tamil film industry. He started his career as the Bus conductor and impressed the director K. Balachander due to his style which earned him a berth in the Tamil cinema Industry.

He was first introduced by K. Balachander on his film named Apoorva Ragangal and the film was a great success which also had Kamalahaasan doing the lead role. Then the super star got many chances and he utilized them properly to climb to the peak of the Tamil industry. The film Muthu gave him the international market as the film was dubbed in Japanese language and the fan base developed throughout the world because of the feat. After this the movies like Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Endhiran which were his recent movies also got great fame in the industry he achieved more awards and mostly the Tamil Nadu Best actor award for most of his movies in the recent past. His movie Endhiran achieved the great feat and it is the highest grossing films up to date in the Tamil film Industry. He also got the Padma Bhushan Award on 2000 which was issued to him by the government of India.
