Tirupati to Puducherry Train fire accident
Tirupati to Puducherry train caught fire in the engine. Passenger train from Tirupati to Pondicherry sailed on 18 th October early morning. Driver Duraivelu and assistant driver Lakshmipathy sailed the train. This passenger train was reached Vilupuram at 12.30 afternoon. There were about hundreds of passengers in that train.
The diesel engine of the train was suddenly caught fire. Passengers fled far down. Railway officials opened water on the burning train. The train engine caught fire due to over heat of motor coil.
Finally after a long fight they switched off the fire. Then they separated engine and put it on the different rail road. The alternative engine for the passenger train arrived at 1.17 in the afternoon. No one was hurt by fire accident. All passengers went safely. Railway officials were investigating this accident from all the angles. They promised that there will be no such accidents in the future. This event made the people in that train more panic.
