Along with him you will also see Genelia Dsouza, Hansika Motwani as female actresses roles. Raja M is the director and Mr. Oscar Ravichandran is the producer of Velayutham. Music of Velayutham is directed by Mr. Vijay Antony.

Story of Velayutham is quite interesting and Vijay who is playing the character as Velu is a small village boy. He lives very happily in his village. He lives with his widowed mother and his sister Kaveri who's role is played by Saranya Mohan. Hansika Motwani is going to play the role of Murai Ponnu Vaidhiyalakshmi. Vijay sitser's marriage got fixed and due to some money problems he visits Chennai to withdraw his money from a chit fund company. During his visit to Chennai he met Genelia who is playing as main female lead and is a Journalist. Genelia have had very tough and harassed past. She was harassed by Abhimanyu Singh who is the main Villain of the movie. He also have some relations with underworld and nobody was able to face him. Genelia thinks about the character Velayutham who is fictional but in end Vijay adopted this fiction character. In starting Vijay didn't accept the role of velayutham but due to some reasons he adopts this role and remaining story is all about his fight against bad and corrupted peoples.
