Anna University Chennai is inviting applications for the admission to the part-time B.E. / B.Tech Degree Programmes in the departments mentioned below. Please note that these programmes are self-supporting and should be attend in the evening. The duration of the programme is 3 1/2 Academic years comprising 7 semesters.

Eligibility criteria of Anna University B'tech part time admissions 2012

The candidates should have passed the diploma examination in Engineering/ Technology

Please note that the, candidate should have passed in the relevant branch of specialisation conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu or Other State

Note that candidates who have passed the diploma examination with least two years

Candidates should be working in a place within a distance of 90 km from the University so as to enable him / her to attend the classes regularly by 6.15 p.m.

Age limit: No age limit is prescribed for admission.

Selection procedure of Anna University Btech part time admissions 2012

The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks of 100

Qualifying marks will be reduced to 75 marks and 25 marks for work experience.

Marks for work experience after passing the diploma examination will be as follows

1. Candidates can get the Anna university B'tech Application forms 2012 in person at the Examination Centre, Anna University, Chennai – 25.
2. He or she is required to pay Rs. 500/- for General category and Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates towards the application fees.
3. The money should be paied in the form of DD which is the taken in favour of 'The Director (Admissions), Anna University, Chennai' payable at Chennai obtained from any Nationalised Bank.
