The needed ingredients are 2 cups Kaaintha Milaghaip podi or Dry red chilli powder, 4-5 gloves garlic, salt for taste, ½ cup Bengal gram or kadalaip paruppu, ½ cup urad dal or ulutham paruppu, a small piece asafetida or perugngayam, if you like gingerly seeds or ellu you add 3-4 teaspoon and it is optional.

The needed ingredients are 10 nos dry red chilies, ½ cup rice, Bengal gram or kadalaip paruppu ¾ cup, urad dal or ulatham paruppu ¾ cup, pepper corn ½ cup, asafetida a small piece and curry leaves ½ cup.
Heat the pan with medium flame and roast the Bengal gram, urad dal, rice, peppercorn, curry leaves, and chilies separately. Here too roasting part is very important. Allow them to cool. Put all the ingredients in mixie and coarse powder it. Store it in an air tight jar. Add two spoon of this powder to cooked rice and add some ghee or oil, mix it and eat.
