Vedi Story:

Vedi Tamil movie is a remake of the 2008 Telugu film Sooryam . Balu (Vishal) from Tamilnadu enters as a Physical trainer in a college in Kolkata . Vishal is the assistant of Vivek (Santhesh).Vishal then approaches Poonam Kaur ( Aishwarya) to get a rented house who suggest to approach her friend and neighbor Sameera Reddy's(Paaru) house. He then gets permitted as a paying Guest in Sameera Reddy's house by blackmailing Sameera Reddy by capturing a video of Sameera caught drunken. Vivek has a fake six pack . He covers his body with balloons. Then Sameera tries to take revenge on Vishal by getting back Vishal's phone.

The movie takes us back to Eswaramoorthy villain, a don in Thoothukudi. He has been booked in several cases . He kills all the public prosecutors who handle his cases. Coming back to Kolkata, Sameera (Paaru)pretends to love Vivek to take revenge on Vishal. Eshwaramoorthy then gets released and tries to take revenge on Vishal.

Then there goes the flashback where Vishal reveals that Poonam Kaur is his sister , whose father a gets killed while the siblings are in their childhood days. Then a Christian missionary helps Poonam kaur. Sameera Reddy is glamourous especially in the scenes where Sameera tries to get the cellphone of Vishal. Sophie Chowdhary plays an item song "Bombay Ponnu" which has fast beats. Then in the second half comes as a surprise where a lot of twists occur. The usage of the name Vedi later fits into the movie and the relevance is decent.

Will the siblings rejoin together? Will Vishal escape from the attack of the goons is the rest of Vedi.

Movie Review:

What I liked about Vedi:

A lot of popular Tamil movie dialogues have been manipulated and used nicely.
Vivek's comedy.
Mix of Entertainment i.e sentiment, action, love, romance, comedy has been managed well.
Actors Vishal, Sameera Reddy even Poonam kaur have acted well.

What could have been better in Vedi:

Story , a lot of resemblance to previous Tamil movies.
Usual portrayal of villain ,hero characters.
Songs could have been better. None of them are catchy.

Vedi verdict:

Vedi is an usual Tamil movie mass entertainer, has masala and especially aimed to attract the youngsters. The movie has interesting elements but the resemblance to other movies and the usage of same styles is a drawback.
