Kanchana is the fifth film directed by Lawrence and Kanchan has let him as a second directorial venture in Tamil film after Muni. Kanchana will be a Sequel of his directed movie Muni. Kanchana has hit the half century in the theatres at all areas and this would be one of the most unexpected hit of the year. Ragahava Lawerence by understanding the sequel and prequel fever in Tamil cinema is back with another Thriller movie after 4years.

Muni was directed by targeting the female audience and kids which were a mixture of thriller and comedy movie came up with a great success. In Kanchana Lawerence is the lead role and Lakshmi rai share the screen with Lawrence. This movie is also said to have the right mix of thrill and comedy to make it a perfect flick for family audience.

Sarath Kumar in his carrier for the first time plays the role as a Transgender. Thaman of Eeram scores the best for his music. The opening of Kanchana wasn't up to the expectations due to its low publicity as other big flicks of movies dominating the box office the same month and it have hit only few main theatres in the cities. Later during the second week the film started to show its value towards entertaining audience from all levels. Moreover the film was made for only about 8 crores and promoted as a small budget film for all types of audiences in different classes. None of the movie had great run in the box office with this category as far but lawerence has taken it as a challenge and broke this myth with his new movie.

During the opening after its publicity few top actors from bollywood were ready to buy the remake rights for a decent price but due to the un expectation happened to this movie with its hit in the box office it brought a twist and this made raghava to increase its price value towards its remake rights.

In spite of an A certificate given to this film it made a number of women audience to turn back to this movie repeatedly this was mainly due to its positive word of mouth which reached a great extend into the minds of the audience. Story Line of Kanchana -Muni – II

Lawrence is a happy man who is leading life with his small family lives with her widowed mother Sarala elder brother sreeman his wife Devadarshini with two Childrens. He is all brave only at day time and he is feared of darkness and ghosts. He is so scared of things that he would not venture out of the house after 6 pm. One day Raghava and his gang shift to new ground to play cricket and something unusual happens when he plants the stump. Fearing of the storm and lightning, they don't play cricket the stumps which were hit into the ground accidentally hits the dead body that was under the mud. Raghava unknowingly carries away those stumps which have blood stains on them. With those stains ghosts come into his house and starts doing all scary things. Finally they settle in Raghava's body.

Later both mother and daughter in law suspects some unusual activity happens in their house so they decided to take the help of a saint to conform their doubts.Both mother and daughter in law planned to carryout it and so sent all they family members to some other place in order to perform the test without any disturbances. The saint arrives and do some activities and he reacts in such a manner hat they don't have any doubts with his work and finally the saint said everything is fine and then they re unite but after few days both mother and daughter in law notices a different behavior with lawrence since he reacts like an women and so they decided to take the help from the people of dhargha.

The dhargha people arrives and do some poojas in their house as a team but lawrence threatens the team but the head of it doesn't care about it and finally identifies the evil trapped into lawrence body.The evil is Kanchana(Sarath) a transgender who likes to help the poor and make her daughter as a doctor for the benefits of the poor. With the help of various authorities he decided to built up a hospital and acquires a land. But here comes the twist as usual as expected.A gang plays a drama and kills sarath and buries his body in the ground and this the place where lawrence and his team decided to play cricket and where lawrence hits the dead body with his steam. Finally he kills all the people for the cause and lawrence turns back to his normal stage.

A message conveyed to the audience is the evil continues further but have to wait a little........
