Joint Admission Test for admissions in IITs popularly Known as IIT – JAM, 2012 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) for admissions in Various IITs in India in Msc Courses , Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other post-bachelor's degree programmes for the academic year 2012. Usually in the month of May the Exam is conducted. But now, in the month of February IIT Bombay has planned to organise JAM 2012 exam.

Pattern of Joint Admission Test for PG courses in IIT, JAM 2012

JAM 2012 will be in Objective for Bio technology and Computer Applications subjects. For the rest of Subjects the Pattern of JAM 2012 will be Objective and Subjective. There will be Negative marks of one – third is followed in JAM 2012. Duration of IIT JAM 2012 exam is Three hours.

Cost of Application form for IIT JAM 2012 is INR 1000 for male and INR 900 for Female and INR 500 for SC/ST category.
For Online application INR 900 for Male, INR 800 fo Female and INR 400 for SC / ST category.
Date of Issue of application forms at Canara Bank or by post only from IIT Bombay will be from 22 September 2011 (Thursday).
Online Registration starts from 22 September 2011 (Thursday) and Online application process will be completed on 25 October 2011 (Tuesday) .
Date of IIT JAM 2012 Test is on 12 February 2012 (Sunday).
Results of IIT JAM 2012 will be announced on 10 April 2012 (Tuesday) at 17:00 hrs
