There was many positive review on Ajith 50th movie Mankatha. Many celebrities such such as Rajini, Vijay, Simbu and Trisha enjoyed Mankatha in theater and given positive reply to this film. Many newspapers and magazines rated 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 for this movie. Venkat prabhu and his crew celebrated for the positive review by the audience as well as thala Ajith fans. Mankatha expected to be a blockbuster of all Tamil movies released in 2011. Yuvan's music along with Ajith action inspired audience. Arjun's made his best in Mankatha along with Tamil actor Ajith. There was few negative reply on first half of the movie yet it was compensated by second half by both action of Ajith and Arjun.

Rajini said we got new Villan to our Tamil cinema. He is inspired by Ajith's acting as villan character. He added that he remembered villan character done by him during the film Endhiran.

Vijay said it is the great gift for my friend Ajith for his 50th film. In this film Ajith wear wrist watch presented by Vijay on Ajith's birthday. This made Vijay so happy.

Simbu die hard fan of Ajith canceled his Osthi shooting and watched Mankatha movie on opening show. He said that it will be big hit for Thala Ajith.

Tamil actress Trisha tweets that she is so happy in the part of this film. He congratulated whole Mankatha team on the success.

Premji Amaren tweets "Kanna Sammi , Singam , ellam duty la irunda than padam odum. Anna enga THALA suspend Anna kooda padam ooduum! MANKATHA DA. He is so happy about the victory of Mankatha.

Songs Vilayaadu Mankatha and Machi open the bottle rocked theatre. Ajith danced well in Machi open the bottle song. Yuvan's music were perfect matching to this movie. Overall rating is good.
