Marriage function was attended by only close relatives of bride and groom family. Ilayaraja's second son Yuvan Shankar Raja is very busy in Tamil industry. His first marriage was with Sujaya. Yuvan shankar raja Sujaya wedding year 2005. But their marriage lasted only 2 years. They got Divorce and separated in the year 2008.

    After his divorce Yuvan lived alone and got the introduction of Chennai Dr. Shilpa. It was started as friendship and then loved each other. Their love was so secret, parents from both side showed green flag and they decided to marry. Accordingly, in Tirupati on 01.09.11 Yuvan Shankar Raja got married to Shilpa. shankar raja second marriage reception is going to be held in a Star Hotel of Chennai.
