This college has the background of Sri Shanmugavel Mills, they are one of the most popular in Dindigul Textile Industry field.

This college is approved by AICTE , New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Madurai. The college is situated on Palani Road, Dindigul. It is just 5 kms away from Dindigul Railway station.

Though, we have a little confusion about this college name. Yes. SSM College of Engineering and Technology is available in Komarapalayam Namakkal.
