The river in Thiruparappu the Kodayur river is rocky and the length is about 300 feet. The water in this river flows for 7 months in a year at a height of 50 feet. The water falls from one rocky mass which is very large about quarter of a kilometer and this water is the only source of water for the paddy fields. One can see the ancient temple located between the water falls which stands as the center of attraction to the tourists. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Recently a swimming pool has been constructed by the District Administration for children which is an added attraction to the place.
