The pamban bridge is the longest sea bridge in India. The length of the pamban bridge is almost 2.3km connects mainland at mandapam and pamban Island. So, the bridge is called as pamban bridge. The bridge was started during the year 1887 and completed around 1912. The first traffic was opened to train during the year 1914. There are 143 pillars were used to construct the bridge. The whole view of this bridge and along with the adjacent area is really a big feast for the tourists. As reaching the bridge one cannot keep his camera in off mode.
