Anna university Madurai is new university of anna university established in 2010. This university is formed to maintain and upgrade the colleges surrounding Madurai district. Before the formation of this university the colleges were affiliated to other Anna universities. Now Anna university Madurai is formed fully and here you can find all the colleges that are affiliated to this university.

About Anna university Madurai

Anna University Madurai was established in the year 2010. In order to improve the quality of higher education Tamilnadu government has opened this university. Around 36 institution are affiliated to this university. The institution affiliated to this university are from districts of Madurai, Sivagangai, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram and Theni. There are 17 Undergraduate Programmes and 32 Postgraduate Programmes conduted by this university. So the total colleges under this university comprises of 36 Self-Financing Engineering Colleges in the districts of Madurai, Sivagangai, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram, Theni, three University Campuses located at Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Dindigul, two autonomous Government Institutions at Madurai and Karaikudi and a Central Electro Chemical Research Institute at Karaikudi. These colleges first affiliated to other Anna universities, now fresh batches follow Anna university Madurai.
