About Kolli hills
Kolli hills or Kollimalai is located in Namakkal district of Tamilnadu. It is a region of eastern ghats< situated in eastern part of Tamilnadu. The height of this mountain ranges from 1000 to 1300 Meter. It is small Hill stations in Tamilnadu. It is historical mountain where famous tamil literature such as Silappathigaram, Manimekalai, Purananuru and Ainkurnuru works were done. The total hair pen bends in Kolli malai is calculated as 72. In summer weather condition in kolli hills is 25 degree (Min in celcius) to 35 degree (Max in celcius). In winter it ranges from 20 degree (Min in celcius) to 29 degree (Max in celcius).
Ghosts in Kolli Hills
Many deaths occurs in Kolli hills every year. The reason said was the prevailing of Vampires and Ghosts. So this hills is also called as Death Mountain. Old literature says that there is a demon women in the form of image Kollippavai. Several programs in TV channel also telecasted about it. In Vijay TV's Nijam Nadanthathu Enna show there was a show about Ghost captured in photo. Recently Jaya TV's Aavigal Aayiram also given proofs about existence of ghost. But the confirmation is still in pending.

This is a cave in kolli hills. It is a small cave with one or two members can enter the cave. It is located on the way of Agaya gangai. The cave contains some ancient materials used by the siddhar lived in that cave.

• Kiliyur Falls in Kolli hills
It is a mini falls in Kolli hills with height 85 feets. It is situated at the center of Kolli hills. This is small falls when compared to agaiya gangai falls. This falls is surrounded by medicinal plants used for Auyurveda.
• Selur View Point in Kolli hills
Selur view point is situated at the top of Kolli hills. From there you can see the low valleys of Kolli hills. This is best sight seeking in kolli hills. This is well know as rock pillar in kolli hills.
• Botanical Garden in Kolli hills
Tamilnadu is now caring more about the eco-system. Kolli hills got its own Botanical garden maintained by government of Tamilnadu . This garden is filled with variety of plants, herbal plants, flower plants and many variety of hybrid plants. There is research center for growing hybrid plants. To attract children a small park is situated near this botanical garden.

Boat house in Kolli hills is one of the most visited spot by all tourist peoples. This is situated at Vasalurpatty near Solakkadu-Thinnanurpatty road. Actually it is a lake near kolli hills with permanent water source. Boating such as pedal boating is available where just can have lots of fun.

This are two best view points in Tamilnadu which is less polluted when compared to other hill station. This is unknow tourist spot in Tamilnadu and is less commercialized. This view point contains variety of features such as trekking, lake, boating, natural scenery and meditation preaching's.

How to reach kolli hills by road
The nearest main districts to kolli hills are Chennai, Salem, Namakkal, Madurai and Tiruchirapalli. There is 24 hours bus service from these main districts to Namakkal. There are local buses to Nadukombai from Namakkal. Nadukombai is the place where the kolli hills road begins.
How to reach kolli hills by Air
The nearest airport is Trichy which is only 90 Kms away from Namakkal. The next option is Madurai airport. Many flights are available in Madurai. It is better to choose Madurai airport than Trichy.
How to reach kolli hills by rail
The nearest railway station to Kollimalai isTrichy - 90kms, Madurai – 130 Kms, Salem -100kms. From there you will have to take Taxi, bus or auto rikshaw.

All the products in this hills were cheap and enjoy the cool climate. Kolli hills is mysterious some says there is ghost in this hill. Before 5 years there was a rumor two boys died in Kolli hills due to ghost. Some photographed the ghosts in this hill. But, It is not confirmed yet.
