In this constituency votes were polled in 13 th April 2011 and was counted exactly after one month after the date of polling which is 13 th May 2011. At the day of counting it is precdicted that total of 189907 electors were polled votes with 95016 male electors and 94891 female electors. It seems total of 83.56% casted vote.

The candidates who played important role in this constituency were Vaithilingam of AIADMK, Magesh krishnamoorthy of DMK and other canditates were from BJP, BSP, IJK and two independent MLA. Therefore total of seven MLA competed each other. In this constituency Parameswari is only female canditade who was independent MLA.

The winner of this constituency is from AIADMK and the MLA is Vaithilingam he secured 91724 votes. The runner of this constituency id Magesh Krishnasamy who secured only 59080. Others only earned 1000 votes in this constituency. This made big victory to Vaithilingam in this constituency.

Vaithilingam joined AIADMK party in the year 2011 and won the election. He was born to Rengasamy and now MLA Vaithilingam is married to Thangam. At present his age was 55 who is a under graduate.
