Kattankulathur to soon have Space and Satellite Research Centre by SRM University

SRM University is a very famous institute of India, which is working on to soon establish a Space and Satellite Research Centre in its own campus at Kattankulathur in association with the Indian Space Research Organization, which is supposed to be functional at the end of this year.

In this early stage as of now the talks are that the main aim of this Space and Satellite Research Centre at Kattankulathur, Tamilnadu is at promoting research in the field of Space and Satellite by bringing out together students and scientists of ISRO.

Further talks on enhancing the level in research will be carried out after the satellite designed recently by SRM University students in a mission gets launched, named as SRMSAT this Nano satellite will be used to measure the effects of green house gases in the environment near infra red region, this satellite is already being tested at ISRO sent by SRM for the necessary checks to be completed before it can be launched in August.
