The reservoir called Bhavani sagar, created across the river Bhavani covers a vast area. The Lower Bhavani Dam traversing a length of 8km. The Shiva temple of Sangameshwara is situated at the confluence of the river Cauvery with Bhavani which is a popular place of worship.
