    Kovilpatti-Famous for Kadalai Mittai-Sweet made of Jaggery and ground nut-Good for health. Tastes good, acts as a digestive agent-supplement it after meal. But it is next only to the Goddess Shenbagavalli Amman. Kovilpatti is between Madurai and Tirunelveli. Kovilpatti is a small town but has got good facilities.

    Kovilpatti 'KADALAI MITTAI'


    Kovilpatti is situated between Madurai and Tirunelveli in South Tamil Nadu. Kovilpatti is famous for crispy Kadalai Mittai which is made with Jaggery and Ground Nut. It is true that you can get this sweet everywhere in tamilnadu. But, kovilpatti kadalai mittai is unique in taste and pure in its preparation.

    Kovilpatti "Kadalai Mittai" is famous next only to the Goddess Shenbaga Valli Amman. The age old temple is a real beauty and everyone who visits this temple will be relieved from all the worries and sufferings. The goddess is very powerful.

    You would have heard about Tirunelveli Halwa, Manapparai Murukku, Kadambur Boli. Likewise, Kovilpatti is famous for Kadalai Mittai. Whenever you cross kovilpatti, never forget to grab a packet of this sweet which costs a meagre Rs.10/-. There are other sweets like Cheeni Mittai and Karuppatti Mittai. Also, you can buy Kara Sev and Cheeni Sev.

    How to Reach Kovilpatti
    Kovilpatti is situated between Madurai and Tirunelveli. Trains from Chennai, stops at kovilpatti for a couple of minutes. Few good lodges are there.
