Eligibility criteria for NRI, Foreign Nationals and CIWGC students for Degree courses in Anna University


For B.E and B.Tech degree:
• Should have passed the 10 + 2 school education in English Medium.
• Must have good marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

For B.Arch degree:
• Candidate should have a pass in 10 + 2 with medium of insturction in English.
• Should have obtained good grades in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.
• Cleared the National Aptitude Test (NAT)

• The degree course application forms can be downloaded from the Anna University website.
• Application forms can be obtained by drawing a Demand Draft for us $ 200.
• The Bank Draft should be in favour of Director, centre for International Affairs, Anna University, Chennai.
• The DD should be payable at New York.

Selection procedure for Degree Courses for NRI, Foreign Nationals and CIWGC students in Anna University


• Selection would be based on counselling with the candidates.
• The marks obtained in 10 + 2 in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths would also be considered.

NRI status certificate which should be issued by Embassy of India.
• If candidate parent is employed in an organization then Employment certificate of the parent from the employer.
• If the candidates parent is self employed then annual income and 3 years tax paid proof certificate.
• NRI pass book of the parent.
• Indian passport of the parent.
• Relevant Qualifying Mark sheet.
• Transfer or Migration certificate from the school studied.

For Foreign Nationals
Photo copies of the below mentioned documents should accompany the application form.
Proof of citizenship
• Valid Passport and Visa
• Relevant Qualifying Mark sheet.
• Certificate to prove that the candidate is well verse in English.
