Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai is the upcoming tamil movie directed by Suseendran. The director had earlier given decent movies like vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and Naan Mahan alla. Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai is a drama cum comedy film which is to be released by Cloud nine movies. The film has three songs and the music is done by Illayaraja. The music launch for this film was done on March 16 2011 at Sathyam Theatres. The hero of Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai Appu Kutty has done justice to his role as Azhagarsami. Saranya Mohan is the heroine of Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai and has done a commandable job.

Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, based on novel by Bhaskar Sakthi is a beautiful story set in Theni. Mallayapuram, a village in Theni is the main center of attraction of this film. The villagers in Mallayapuram believes in performing annual festivals in temple. This is so because of the belief that this will bring them rain to their villages. They would like to conduct festival each year for the blessings of rain god to shower rain in their village for the crops that they grow each year. During the festival it is a tradition to take the the rain god around the village in a wooden village. During one such festival the wooden horse goes missing. The villagers of
Mallayapuram start their journey to find the missing wooden horse.

Azhagarsami lives in a village called Aagamali near to Mallayapuram. He earns his living by transporting goods to villages with a horse that he owns. His marriage got fixed and he is preparing himself to get ready for his marriage. One fine day his horse goes missing from his house. This has resulted in his marriage being stopped. He immediately starts searching for his horse.
