Tamilnadu assembly elections 2011 Tamilnadu assembly elections 2011 got over successfully in April 13, 2011 in all the 234 constituencies in Tamilnadu. Around 75 to 80% voting was recorded in the Tamilnadu assembly elections 2011. This was a good turnout when compared to the assembly elections in 2006. Re-polling was also done in eight polling booths in Tamilnadu on April 16, 2011. Now only the counting of votes is left to decide who will form the next government in Tamilnadu.
This election will decide the next Chief Minisiter of Tamilnadu. The counting of votes will be done on May 13, 2011. Election Commission had made elaborate arrangements to count the votes without any incidents. They have earn marked important places where counting will be done in Chennai. Heavy security arrangements had been done to all these places to safeguard the Voting machines and to maintain harmony during counting of votes.
