The final match of the cricket world cup between India and Sri Lanka was held at Mumbai on 2nd March 2011,Sturday.Sri Lanka captain Mr.Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat first. In Sri Lanka team, Mr.Mahela Jayawardene played well and got a wonderful score of 103 run off just 88 balls. The other bats men stands with him Sangakkara (48), Thilan Samaraweera (21) and Nuwan Kulasekara (32. The final score of the Sri Lanka was 274-6. In Indian team,Mr.Yuvraj Singh taken 2 wickets and Mr. Zaheer Khan also had taken a two wickets in 60 balls.

The Indian team started their innings to score the target of 275 runs to win the World cup 2011. But unfourtunately, Mr.Verendra Sewaug came out with zero run. In the other end, Mr.Sachin Tendulkar played well and he also came out soon. The two players of our Indian team, Mr.Gautam Gambhir (97)and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (91 not out)did their job very well. They scored the runs very fast and improved the team score to 275 in the 49th over.

The long and big dream of Indian team become true and all Indian cricket fans of India are very happy by the great victory of Indian team in the Cricket world Cup 2011 after 28 years long. Dhoni has been considered as a very lucky person to be acted as the captain of Indian team in the both in the ODIs and Twenty 20s.

The various state governments announces gifts and awards to Indian Cricket players

The ICC announces 13.5 Crores as a prize money for the Winning team of the world cup 2011 which goes to our Indian Cricket team.Apart from that the various state governments like Delhi, Tamil Nadu, UP, MP and other state announces various awards and gifts like cash prize, House allotment, Land allotment, Special summer holiday houses in the various cities. Many private car manufacturing companies also announces cash prizes and the Hundai company gives VERNA model car to each player in the Indian Cricket team. The Indian railway also announced the free first class train facility to travel all over India with one member throughout the life time of each member.
