    Dearness Allowance (DA) increased for Tamil Nadu government Employees which is equal to the central government employees. It will implemented from 1.1.2011 onwards.


    Dearness Allowance(DA) increased for Tamil Nadu government Employees


    The Dearness Allowance (DA) has been increased to the Tamil Nadu government employees which is 6 percentage more than they already received. The got 45 percentage of DA previously and now it is being increased to 51 percentage.This increment of DA is given to the Employees of Tami Nadu government based on the DA increased to the central government employees.

    Implementation of DA increment to the Tamil Nadu government employees


    The government of Tamil Nadu had increased the Dearness Allowance of six percentage to the government employees of Tamil Nadu, as per norms of the DA is increased to the central government employees. The G.O for the DA increment has been released on 28.3.2011 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. As per G.O., The DA increment will be given from the 1.1.2011. The existing 45 percentage of DA was given from 1.7.2010. Now it is increased to 51 percentage with effect from january, 2011.

    The increased DA will be given as cash from the date 1.1.2011. The remaining arrears of DA for the month of January and February of 2011 will be given after the distribution of March month salary. If the increase DA comes in Paise , then it will be rounded to the nearest integer of rupees.

    Who will get benefit by the DA increment of Tamil Nadu government


    The new DA increment will be applicable only for the full time government employees of Tamil Nadu Government. This increment is also applicable to the full time employees those who have been appointed by the other expenses of finance committee. This increment is not applicable for the part time employees of Tamil Nadu government. The increased DA is also applicable for the teaching and non teaching staff of aided Educational Institution, Home and Rural department employees, University teachers, Librarians, Physical Education teachers, Village administrators, Child welfare employees, Panchayat and village assistants and clerks, Cooking and care taker of noon lunch persons.
